Keeping you and your group safe

We've put together a few top tips to help keep you and your group safe throughout your tour:

1. Make sure that your smart phone is securely fitted to the handlebars of your bicycle or is stored in your pocket or backpack whilst cycling.
2. When you reach a blue plaque, or if you just need to double check that you're going the right way, please find somewhere safe to stop by pulling into the side of the road away from the flow of traffic. It might be best to get off your bike and stand on the pavement while you listen to the audio clip.
3. At traffic lights, stop at the red light and make sure you are well in front of large vehicles such as HGVs and are not waiting on the left. Try making eye contact so the driver knows you're there and if you can't get to the front safely, wait behind the vehicle.
4. Please get off your bicycle and walk where the map indicates that you should do so.
5. If you or any member of your group are lacking in confidence why not book a free, two hour, cycle training session before taking your tour?

Participants must view the blue plaques from the pavement and are not permitted to enter private grounds or resident's properties.
